I use 100mm sterile Celltreat Petri dishes and pour light malt extract enriched with nutritional yeast for isolation and cultivation. This medium is also great for spore germination, isolation work, and I also use them to test my liquid cultures.

Refrigerate in a Ziplock bag to prolong use up to 6 months.

Please note: You will receive sterile pre-poured MEA yeast agar plates. To avoid contamination work under a still air environment/air box, or under a flow hood.

Why I use Celltreat dishes:

• They have a hydrophobic surface which makes cell attachment harder

• The lids have molded spacers, great for gas exchange

• I personally like them because of the grip ring which makes them easier to stack and work with and holds the parafilm tight.
